SaveContext Addendum

1. Introduction

This SaveContext Addendum supplements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy with terms specific to the SaveContext MCP service. In case of conflict, this Addendum takes precedence for matters related to the SaveContext service.

2. Definitions

  • "Customer Data" means context items, sessions, checkpoints, memory items, tasks, and any other data you store using the SaveContext service.
  • "API Key" means the unique authentication credential issued to access the SaveContext MCP API.
  • "MCP Integration" means the Model Context Protocol connection between your AI coding assistant and the SaveContext service.
  • "Usage Limits" means the API calls, storage, and feature restrictions associated with your subscription tier.

3. License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the SaveContext service in accordance with your subscription tier and these terms. This license permits you to store, retrieve, and manage context data for your personal or business development workflows.

4. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your API key
  • Ensuring your use complies with applicable laws
  • The accuracy and legality of Customer Data
  • Not exceeding your subscription's usage limits
  • Implementing appropriate security measures in your integration

5. Data Handling

5.1 Customer Data Ownership

You retain all ownership rights to your Customer Data. Data provided by you remains your property. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your stored context.

5.2 Data Processing

We process your Customer Data solely to provide the SaveContext service. We do not:

  • Train AI models on your Customer Data
  • Share your Customer Data with third parties except as needed for service delivery
  • Access your Customer Data except for support or security purposes
  • Use your Customer Data for advertising or marketing

5.3 Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption at rest and in transit. However, we cannot provide an absolute guarantee against unauthorized access. You acknowledge this limitation when using the service.

6. Usage Restrictions

You may not:

  • Rent, lease, or lend the service to third parties
  • Use the service for competitive benchmarking without consent
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits or rate limiting
  • Store illegal content or content that infringes third-party rights
  • Use the service to process sensitive personal data (health, financial, etc.) without appropriate safeguards
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or derive source code from the service

7. Service Availability

SaveContext is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free service
  • That the service will meet your specific requirements
  • The accuracy or reliability of any data retrieved
  • That defects will be corrected within any timeframe

We are not responsible for data loss, service interruptions, or damages resulting from your use of the service or third-party integrations.

8. API Key Security

Your API key is a sensitive credential. You must:

  • Keep your API key confidential
  • Not share your API key with unauthorized parties
  • Rotate your API key if you suspect compromise
  • Store your API key securely (not in public repositories)

You are responsible for all activity that occurs using your API key.

9. Rate Limiting and Fair Use

Each subscription tier has defined usage limits. We may:

  • Enforce rate limits to ensure fair access for all users
  • Temporarily restrict access if you exceed limits
  • Notify you when approaching usage thresholds
  • Suspend service for sustained or egregious overuse

10. Intellectual Property

We retain all rights to the SaveContext service, including:

  • The service infrastructure and software
  • APIs, documentation, and interfaces
  • Improvements and derivative works
  • Trademarks and branding

You retain all rights to your Customer Data and grant us only the limited license necessary to provide the service.

11. Service Updates

We may update, modify, or deprecate features of the SaveContext service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for material changes that may affect your use of the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Termination

Upon termination of your account:

  • Your access to the service will cease immediately
  • Your API key will be invalidated
  • Customer Data will be deleted within 30 days
  • We may retain anonymized usage data for analytics

You may export your data before termination using the service's export features.

13. Limitation of Liability

Our total liability for any claims arising from the SaveContext service shall not exceed the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of data, profits, or business opportunities.
